The Role of Staff Attorneys at Delaware ADR

Delaware ADR Staff Attorneys are former litigators who are accustomed to analyzing complex legal issues. Delaware ADR’s Staff Attorneys improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our team to address the legal disputes at issue. Depending on the complexity of the matter, at least one Delaware ADR Staff Attorney with relevant subject matter experience will be assigned to work closely with the Professional Neutral who is responsible for the matter. The assigned Delaware ADR Staff Attorney will be the point of contact for the parties if the responsible Professional Neutral is not available.

When Delaware ADR is retained for mediation, the assigned Staff Attorney will read all submissions; conduct additional legal research when the assigned Professional Neutral concludes that additional research is necessary to reset the parties’ expectations of likely litigation success; and prepare a detailed memorandum for the responsible Professional Neutral. In addition to assisting with preparation, a Delaware ADR Staff Attorney may attend mediation sessions.

When Delaware ADR is retained for arbitration or other matters for which the Professional Neutral acts as a subject matter expert or fact-finder, a Delaware ADR Staff Attorney will work closely with the responsible Professional Neutral.

Delaware ADR’s engagement fee does not include time devoted by Delaware ADR Staff Attorneys. Monthly invoices during Delaware ADR’s engagement will include time devoted to the matter by Delaware ADR Staff Attorneys.
