Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services for complex disputes.

Professional Neutral

Honorable Selena E. Molina (Ret.)

After over seven years on Delaware’s Court of Chancery, Senior Magistrate Judge Molina joined Delaware ADR to expand her role in resolving disputes. As judicial decision maker, Senior Magistrate Judge Molina prided herself in providing fair, prompt, and efficient resolution to all parties appearing before her. Through the years, she developed expertise in the corporate, commercial, and equitable issues brought before her. She used her expertise and skills to resolve not just the cases pending on her heavy docket, but dozens pending before her colleagues, who looked to her as their go-to judicial mediator. Now, as a Professional Neutral, Senior Magistrate Judge Molina will use her skills to resolve matters outside the courtroom.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION TRAINING

Civil Mediation, The National Judicial College

Senior Magistrate Judge Molina prides herself in her preparation and perseverance; she comes to each case ready to engage on even the most complex issues and eager to use her training and expertise to reach a lasting resolution.

Senior Magistrate Judge Molina will remain with her cases as long as it takes, one of the primary benefits of her transition from the bench. As a judicial mediator, Senior Magistrate Judge Molina’s heavy case docket often did not allow her to remain engaged and commit significant resources to her mediations. Nevertheless, she resolved the majority of cases sent to her. Now, with Delaware ADR, she will have the time and resources to ensure a resolution, as long as it may take.

Senior Magistrate Judge Molina has the judicial training to act as a fair and efficient arbitrator and court-appointed neutral. From her highly expedited docket with the Court of Chancery, she stands ready to resolve even the most expedited matters with care and precision. This training coupled with her interpersonal skills also makes Senior Magistrate Judge Molina an effective mediator, with years of experience working with parties to craft bespoke resolutions through facilitative or evaluative mediation. With the Court of Chancery, Senior Magistrate Judge Molina presided over and resolved hundreds of complex, highly expedited matters; she will do the same with Delaware ADR.

Senior Magistrate Judge Molina was born and raised in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. She began her legal career in Delaware as a Wolcott Fellow to Justice Holland on the Delaware Supreme Court and then as a law clerk to Judge Carpenter on the Delaware Superior Court. She was a corporate and commercial litigator before Chancellor Bouchard selected her as a Magistrate Judge (then a Master in Chancery) in 2018. After years of growing within the Court of Chancery, training new judges, and taking on leadership roles, Chancellor McCormick named her Senior Magistrate Judge. She retired with that title in March 2026.

During Senior Magistrate Judge Molina’s tenure, she was honored to serve as the Chancellor’s designee on several commissions, including the Delaware Guardianship Commission and the Vulnerable Adults Population Commission. She also represented the Court at the Taiwan Corporate Governance Association’s Corporate Governance Summit in 2024 and as a delegate to Governor Meyer’s mission trip to India in 2026.

Senior Magistrate Judge Molina is a sought after speaker and teacher. She has presented countless times with insights and updates on Delaware corporate law, corporate governance, the Court of Chancery’s expectations, discovery in Delaware courts, and other Delaware law and practice matters. Senior Magistrate Judge Molina also teaches at the Delaware Law School and University of Delaware, Biden School of Public Policy & Administration. She teaches legal writing, law and public policy, and a seminar on legal career paths.
